Cheryl Williams, PCC — Founder of ORB Coaching
Before establishing my coaching and mentoring practice, I spent over 15 years working in highly regulated international financial services, with experience spanning budget analysis, investment advisory, private banking, international payments, business planning, senior management, governance, and other high-responsibility roles.
Those years taught me the realities of leadership, decision-making, accountability, strategic thinking, and working in environments where trust, accuracy, and sound judgement were essential. They also nurtured something that continues to shape my work today: a passion for designing systems, frameworks, and development experiences that create clarity, support meaningful development, and help people move forward with confidence.
🌱 Philosophy & Experience
That experience continues to influence the way I work today. My years in finance developed analytical thinking, strategic planning, governance, leadership, and a strong appreciation for quality and accountability.
Coaching and mentoring brought a different perspective, deepening my understanding of communication, behavioural change, reflection, and personal development.
Together, these experiences have shaped the way I approach coaching, mentoring and development, and how I design structured developmental experiences that combine depth and theory with practical, accessible and real-world application. This can now be seen across the ORB Leadership Development Pathway, ORB Communication Development Pathway, ORB Executive Growth Partnership and the Archway English Pathway.
Looking back, I realise I wasn't starting a new chapter in my career; I was bringing together two complementary strands of experience to create something that reflects who I am and how I work today.
