Leadership develops through experience, through the decisions we make, the conversations we have, the people we lead and the situations we learn to navigate.
The ORB Leadership Development Pathway is a structured, experiential leadership development journey designed to strengthen confidence, self-awareness, judgement, and leadership capability through practical learning, coaching, mentoring, and real-world application.
The Leadership Development Pathway is designed for people who want to develop their leadership, not simply learn about leadership.
It may be right for you if you are:
✓ stepping into leadership or taking on greater responsibility
✓ developing your confidence and identity as a leader
✓ leading people with different needs, expectations and working styles
✓ navigating difficult people, conversations or team dynamics
✓ leading through change, uncertainty or inherited situations
✓ making increasingly complex decisions
✓ looking to strengthen your judgement, self-awareness and leadership impact
✓ ready to participate, reflect, practise and apply your learning in real situations
This isn't a programme built around simply completing content.
The Pathway combines structure with flexibility, creating opportunities to explore leadership through practical learning, reflection, coaching, mentoring, discussion and real situations.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own leadership experiences, questions and challenges into the development process, making each Pathway relevant to the people taking part.
The content provides the foundation. The experience creates the development. - Cheryl Williams 🌱
Part 1 — Leading Yourself & Others
Develop greater awareness of yourself as a leader, your impact on others and how you approach the responsibility of leading people.
Part 2 — Leading Through Complexity
Develop greater clarity, judgement, confidence and adaptability when navigating more complex leadership situations.
The Leadership Development Pathway is available through selected open cohorts and for organisations seeking a dedicated development experience for their leaders.
Small groups create space for participation, discussion, reflection and practical development, while allowing the experience to remain relevant to the people taking part.
Organisational Pathways retain the ORB developmental structure while allowing the experience to respond to the people, situations and context of the organisation.
If you're considering the Pathway for yourself, your leaders or your organisation, we can start with a conversation about what you want to develop and whether the Leadership Development Pathway is the right fit.
